RSS Bandit with Outlook 2003 look

RSS Bandit is getting better and better. I'm really thinking about switching from SharpReader, but it doesn't feel right at the moment. Wink

Anyway, contrary to SharpReader, you can get the bandit's source code. Because I really like the UI of Outlook 2003 (and FeedDemon), I patched RSS Bandit:
RSS Bandit w/ Oulook 2003 look

RSS Bandit w/ Oulook 2003 look It took about 15 minutes. Mainly I docked the feed item list and the splitter to the left. Additionally, I've created a custom feed item formatter, which bases on Julien Cheyssial's MyBlogroll template. You can download my XSLT file here.

Update: I've changed the XSLT to show the author, if available.
Update: Meanwhile the Outlook formatter is part of RSS Bandit so don't ask me anymore for the XSLT file. I removed the link.

Hey ! That's my template ! Cool ! I'm glad you appreciate it !

I have to admit that I haven't been as productive as I wanted to concerning MyBlogroll. But, lately, I've been able to work on it and I upgaded MyBlogroll to work in ASP Mode (Application Service Provider) and store feeds into a MSSQL Database.

I hope I'll be able to open a beta service by the end of year 2K3...

Stay tuned !

Mhm. Don't know what you mean with "I always get it wrong". I'm able to configure the Gui now exactly like it is displayed in your screenshot: Right-Click the Tab named "Feed Details", select "Feed Details Layout...->Feed list at left" and it's there.
And yes: I've already updated the xslt before I added them to the sources to display author, creator and category also.

Dear friends!
I want to use RSS Bandit with Outlook 2003 look, but the link http://thomasfreudenberg.com/files/outlook2003.xslt is does not work. If it is possible, please give to me working link.
Thank you a lot!

Terran, only a few days after I posted this Torsten Rendelmann has added it to the official RSS Bandit release, so there's no need to download the template from my site. Just update your RSS Bandit (which I'd recommended anyway).

I must admit to being more impressed for it. I've even recommended it to all my friends.
